The Vacaloura animal sanctuary prepares everything to begin work on the new land in Arzúa to which it is moving. Inés Trillo announced through a video shared on her social networks what will be the first project that they will undertake. Although they are still waiting for the budgets for the animal sheds, they are ready to begin the renovation of the volunteer house and be able to accommodate the first residents there. These will help to fence off the farm "while we continue working here with animals, so that we can move sooner," says Inés, who recalls that donations of furniture and appliances to make the place habitable will be welcome. They hope to be able to introduce resident volunteers within two months and that they have a "habitable and dignified space where they can rest after hard days of work for animals."
Although financial donations may help finance the works that must be carried out to make the toilet area, the floors and insulate the building well, qualified labor is also necessary and encourages those who have knowledge of electricity and plumbing who want to collaborate to join the project to take care of the installation of electricity and water. In the case of providing furniture and appliances, they indicate that tables and chairs, bunk beds, kitchen and bathroom furniture, oven, hob, extractor hood, microwave, kitchenware, shelves, cabinets, shower tray and bedding will be necessary.

Thanks to popular support, raffles and various initiatives, they obtained in record time the money they needed to buy a permanent and safe piece of land on which to rehouse the 250 rescued animals. The last push came shortly before the deadline expired. They needed more than 10,000 "hearts", that is, micro-donations of 5 euros to reach the goal of a campaign that started last winter.
