And one of the most common mistakes people make in the home environment is not cleaning cleaning appliances. It is paradoxical and even strange, but it is so. We tend to believe that since they are always working with liquid detergents or with tablets intended precisely for cleaning, they do not need maintenance, but this is not the case.
The accumulation of dirt causes bad odors, limescale can also stick and even excess moisture can generate mold, unhealthy as it is, in some areas of these appliances. For that and other reasons they need to be cared for from time to time.
And although there are specific machine cleaners on the market, if you want to avoid chemicals there is a simple, homemade solution whose ingredients you surely have at home, because they are very common and, in addition , are cleaning aces of which we have already told you on more than one occasion.
Start with the filter, which is located under the blades and which is normal for it to be deteriorated and, above all, for it to have a very strong smell, because the remains of food remain there. To do this, you just have to take it out, remove the remains if there are any and put it in water with white cleaning vinegar (the same amount of both). Add a little soap and wait half an hour.
The next thing is to clean the appliance itself from the inside and, as in the case of the washing machine, you have to do it without anything inside, without glasses, plates, cutlery, cups or anything. On the one hand, put three tablespoons of cleaning vinegar in the dishwasher directly, because it will take care of eliminating bad odors.
And for another, where you usually put the bar or liquid soap, add two tablespoons of baking soda. Finally, all that remains is to put the dishwasher to work with a program with hot water so that both components leave it spotless.
If you want to curl the curl, you can also use this mixture to wash the door and remove and hand scrub the blades of the appliance. This way you will extend the useful life, you will avoid bad odors and the dishes will come out cleaner.
