At the corner of Rivapalacios and Violeta streets, in the Santa María la Redonda neighborhood, Cuauhtémoc mayor's office, the first posada in CDMX was held, which was headed by the coordinator of the Historic Center Authority, Dunia Ludlow .
“Thanks to the effort and resistance that they made as neighbors, we see our streets completely transformed, illuminated, and with the great pretext of meeting each other today (yesterday) to enjoy, reconnect with our traditions, and above all, have this opportunity after a year that we could not do it, with great caution. That is why we are all wearing face masks, together again to celebrate life in the inns organized by the Historic Center Authority,” the official stressed.
In the posada there was no shortage of fruit punch and basket tacos for the attendees. For the little ones there were bonuses, and with a healthy distance -as far as possible- the children gathered to break the traditional piñata.

The neighbors indicated that the cultural events serve to promote traditions and keep minors away from the vices of the streets.
“It is a little bit to further promote the culture that has been lost. It invites the children to learn more about this tradition”, said Lupe, an inhabitant of the area.
