The new Plan Renove de Electrodomésticos 2021 has been waiting, but fortunately it is already underway. The campaign will continue until December 31 with 25% subsidies with a maximum of 150 euros for the purchase of household appliances that are more energy efficient and, therefore, obtain greater savings in consumption.

The Minister of Sustainability and Ecological Transition of the Government of La Rioja, Álex Dorado Nájera, has presented the Renewal Plan for Household Appliances at a press conference, accompanied by the president of the Association of Household Appliance Merchants of La Rioja (AECER), Javier Rioja, and the general secretary of FER Comercio, Adelaida Alútiz.

The Ministry of Sustainability and Ecological Transition of the Government of La Rioja, the result of an agreement with IU and in collaboration with AECER and FER, has promoted this initiative, which aims to benefit the renewal of old electrical appliances for other devices more energy efficient and lower consumption. The budget established by the Government of La Rioja is 350,000 euros.

Buyers, whether individuals or legal entities, may benefit from the purchase of a maximum of three electrical appliances, which are those included in the Ministry's order published in the BOR on November 19.

The Minister of Sustainability and Ecological Transition, Álex Dorado Nájera, has highlighted the Renove Electrodomésticos Plan as "an example of collaboration between the public sector and the private sector to contribute to the necessary energy transition of the economy, which not only involves the development of renewable energies and self-consumption, but also, in a very special way, for energy savings and efficiency”.

In addition, he has highlighted one of the values ​​inherent in this proposal, "which has been, on the one hand, contributing to the fight against the climate crisis, as this initiative does by promoting energy efficiency and the use of resources , and on the other, promote the activity of a sector such as the Rioja home appliance trade. It is an initiative that was born in addition to the agreement, in this case between the Government of La Rioja and IU”.

With this program, the regional Executive has allocated 350,000 euros of public resources "to reduce energy consumption by replacing household appliances with others that are more efficient in the use of energy, but also water: a scarce resource, it will to be more and more as a consequence of climate change, and that the Government of La Rioja strives to value ”, has indicated Dorado Nájera.

Likewise, the Minister of Sustainability and Ecological Transition has underlined the fact that, in order to benefit from the Plan, "the need to scrap the appliance that is to be replaced has been included, to promote the valuation of resources and in line with the circular economy strategies, including that of La Rioja, currently under development”.

The president of AECER, Javier Rioja, has indicated in the presentation of the Plan Renove de Electrodomésticos, he has valued in a very positive way the beginning of this campaign, demanded from this commercial sector, and has been "convinced that it will have a very positive response from La Riojan buyers”.

On the other hand, Javier Rioja has underlined the importance of the initiative, at a very opportune moment, because "the market currently offers a very wide catalog of highly advanced electrical appliances in technology and efficiency, which contribute to significant savings on household electricity bills.

Beneficiaries will be eligible for a maximum aid of 25% and a maximum of 150 euros for the purchase of household appliances with low energy consumption and greater efficiency and the aid will be available until December 31st or the funds run out. Businesses, for their part, have 10 days to adhere to the plan, until December 5.
